Thanks to Anh Chi Em, I overcame my difficulties. Today, I run a thriving business, and I am proud to provide for my children's education.
My name is Bac Thi Khuyen, and my journey has not been easy. After fifth grade, my family could not afford to buy me a bicycle to continue going to school. This situation deeply affected my self-confidence.
Later, when I got married and moved to a new village, I found myself isolated, too shy to interact with others.
When my eldest child had to travel a long distance to attend 10th grade, I made a firm decision: despite our financial difficulties, I would do everything I could to give my children the education I never had.
I enrolled my children in school and started working as a teacher at the local school. I worked hard to earn enough money to pay for their education.
From dream to reality thanks to Anh Chi Em
I had always dreamed of developing a fish farm. With 3,000 square meters of ponds, we produced fish, but only for our own consumption, due to a lack of resources. Already committed to a loan for our rice fields from the Vietnam Social Policy Bank, we were unable to obtain further financing.
That’s when I discovered Anh Chi Em (ACE), which offered loans without requiring land as collateral. My first loan of 4 million đồng (€144) was a turning point: I was able to invest in my fish farm and, thanks to five successive new loans, diversify my business by starting to raise poultry and pigs.
A tangible impact for my entire family
With funding from ACE, we built a pigsty and a chicken coop, which halved the time it takes to raise pigs. In 2022, we were even able to build modern toilets.
The training courses taught me how to use organic pesticides to improve our yields without chemicals, and the group meetings helped me gain confidence and integrate into the community.
Thanks to Anh Chi Em, I have overcome my difficulties, I run a thriving business, and I am able to provide my children with an education.
