‘‘ I can truly benefit from the trainings, just like everyone else.’’

“I’m 34 and I’m hearing impaired. When my husband died, I went back to live with my parents with my 5-years-old son. Since 1997, I sell doughnuts, bread and corn dough on the side of the road. It’s an association specialized in the handling of deaf persons which pointed me to ASSILASSIME*.

An adequate training for her disability

I joined ASSILASSIME in 2013 and I’m very satisfied with their services. My counsellor is fluent in sign language, I understand everything and I can truly benefit from the trainings, just like everyone else. In the past, I had to deal with other counsellors who didn’t sign well and I could hardly follow up.
Furthermore, I’m part of a group with hearing people and we have some very rich and kind-hearted discussions.
Being a cook, I look forward to the training on MIVO equipments. The smoke emitted by my traditional cookstove really disturbs me, so much that, sometimes, I think about changing job.
So if that new improved cookstove can make my working conditions better, I’m interested !

A mind full of ideas

I just got my 4th loan. We’re building a house with my parents and I want to increase my income to be able to help them with the completion of the work. I wish to provide for my son as well as possible and I want himto receive a proper education.
